I wanted to try masala puri for a very long time. I bought ready puris from New Indian Bazar and stocked it up for more than 2 weeks. I was too skeptical of preparing this. One fine day I was dying to eat chat and I didn't want to go out. Luckily the puris were still fresh and I could prepare Masala Puri at home. I did not get the authentic street chaat taste which we originally get in India, but my attempt was not bad :) My husband who doesn't like chaat at all at least tried and said it came out good.

Out of all bonda and bajji variety potato/ batata bonda and chatambade (masala vada) are my favorite. Though we dont prepare this often I hog a few whenever we prepare it :). I just forget gym and relish these little tasty fritters. I have had this even for breakfast at my in-laws. Mouth-watering ! Its been more than 3-4 months I haven't made it. I saw this photo today and realized I haven't yet posted the recipe. But this post is tempting me to make it soon. Probably during long weekend of this month which I am eagerly waiting for !

Batata song is a very spicy dish prepared mainly with boiled potato and coconut, usually served with rice and dalitoy. I have seen people preparing this differently. When this is prepared during any auspicious occasions we do not use onion in it. This recipe is from my aunt. This can be had even with neer dosa.

The only fish I like is white pomfret. We both wanted to try something new than our usual konkani style fish curry. I had some store bought fish masala. It was of "grand ma's" brand. I added some spices of my choice to it and this came out better than I expected.
